Abstract

Helix Lab is a first-rate knowledge center in Kalundborg strengthening collaboration between industry and academia. It supports and accelerates the translation of new academic research into specific solutions that will drive industry 4.0 and the green transformation in the industry. Danish and international MSc students enrolled at Danish universities have the opportunity to do their master thesis project work on bio-production, circular production and industry 4.0 in collaboration with the Kalundborg industry at Helix Lab. After the first five successful semesters, Helix Lab has proven to be an attractive learning community that supports and develops talents locally, and at the same time strengthens the collaboration between the universities and Kalundborg bio industry regarding research and innovation.
